A new powerful defacto state exists. It is not recognised by anyone or even seen to exist, however it touches us, the world at large, in everything we do.

It influences us in our day to day activities, and it is driving us to the edge. When a terrorist state such as Israel is able to influence, nay dictate the conduct of the most powerful nation on earth, we have a problem.

I shall call this state in the shadows, the USAZ.

A cursory glance at the media, the law, entertainment and indeed government and the various financial institutions, not to mention the individuals advising government and the commander in chief of the most powerful nation on earth, will tell us something is afoot.

When resolutions against Israel in the security council are constantly vetoed by the USA , no matter how barbarous the behaviour by the former, then we must know something is amiss.

The USA institutions have been hijacked and it does not take a rocket scientist to discover who or what is responsible for this.

James Petras has written a very thorough and incisive book regarding this very matter. We would do well to read this work and see exactly how many people involved in running the USA do not have the nations interest at heart.

It is not politically correct to talk about these matter but never forget that- "by their deeds they will be known".

You cannot treat people like animals lest they react like animals, even less can you treat them in this manner and pretend you are the victim. Your earlier historical suffering does not give carte blanche in the treatment others, especially when you are occupying their land and are bound by all kinds of laws, ethical, moral, religious and even modern International law.

YOU CANNOT BEHAVE IN THIS BESTIAL MANNER.

When a once honourable but naive State allows torture, collateral damage (murder in everyday parlance) illegal detentions and countless other unspeakable acts not only against its own citizens but also the world at large, it is time to bring the whole thing crashing down!

Yes, Hamas won the election. Yes, the Palestinians are not engaged in occupation. No, that doesn't change the fact that the rocket attacks are inarguably worse than useless at this point. Forget right and wrong, we're in the realm of smart and stupid. No, Israel will for survive for a while longer, adding a few more years to the 3,000 or more years they've been there. They can't stop the Palestinians from waging war, violence is apparently an integral part of the Palestinian DNA, but they can fight and win the constant wars and respond to the constant attacks. It's the Palestinians who will suffer. A few Israelis, but not many, and fewer than at most times in Jewish history. The point is to survive, which Israel has done and will continue to do. It would be better if the international community and the UN finally acknowledged and confronted the Palestinians' violations of international law, and took some serious measures to protect the Israelis. But until they do that, the Jews can protect themselves. After all, except for a radical few, the Palestinians have no resources, no allies and no international support. ETHNIC CLEANSING OR COLLATERAL DAMAGE

I read in Al-Jazeera that according to Israeli sources the attack on Gaza by the IDF was first cleared with Western and Arab governments. IT WOULD NOT BE THE FIRST TIME: REMEMBER SUEZ 1956?

If this proves to be true, I wonder whether anyone will stand up and demand that all obscene politicians involved in this genocidal act are brought before an International Tribunal. Even one created adhoc on a moral platform.

It is about time that Israel is shown for what it really is: a reactionary racist state run by corrupt politicians, not that other politicians, Arab or otherwise, are any better. Never forget that one of the main pillars of the constitution of this state is its Jewish nature. It is about time that we lost all fear of criticising Israel.
The anti-semitic card has lost all value.
The Holocaust is not a blanket to cover all manner of wrongdoings. I am deliberately choosing my words carefully, not for fear of being labelled an anti-semite, but because I would like this vox clamantis in deserto to be heard by someone, which would turn it into an ear deafening angry roar, asking for justice for these helpless people. When you say that women and children killed by the IDF is collateral damage, we have indeed sunk very low, this term used by the USA in other conflicts, has become the blanket explanation for MURDER.
